adidas x Parley for the Oceans

How do we create an innovative campaign that inspires people to join adidas x Parley’s efforts to save the oceans from plastic pollution? This was the key challenge driving an Instagram contest we initiated in June 2016. By informing about the environmental issues raised by ocean plastic and giving people the opportunity to win the iconic adidas X Parley shoe, we engaged them to post a video statement about how they take action against plastic pollution on Instagram in order to become part of our movement. Their shared videos enabled us to raise awareness for adidas’ leadership in sustainability in an authentic way and to simultaneously strengthen our relationship to consumers.
